NorthMarq is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Transaction Manager to support the Investment Sales Team. The position entails working with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and the individual will require the independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment. The to-be-hired manager will be part of the team based in Newport Beach, CA, and will play a key role in the deal transaction process while obtaining extensive exposure to multifamily and manufactured housing assets both in the private capital and institutional space throughout the country.
  • Manage the delivery of real estate services to client(s) with focus on effective management of real estate functions, contracts and negotiations, and all transaction services required
  • Manage LOI, PSA, and other documents relating to property transactions
  • Manage critical dates for each transaction
  • Track and monitor the day-to-day transaction work
  • Assist with the determination of requirements for client-specific reports and coordinate the tracking system
  • Develop new and grow existing relationships with client(s), vendors, and other retail users
  • Provide high level of customer service to client(s) and vendors
  • Coordinate with lead broker to ensure tracking and reporting of client(s) deliverables
  • Manage, review, and approve a large volume of all types of transactions
  • Adhere to all state real estate agency requirements
  • Provide suggestions and best practices for process and technical improvements relating to the transaction process
  • Identify potential issues and take action accordingly
  • Investigate and promote the use of new system management tools
  • Arrange and manage for closing gifts for clients
  • Develop, amend, and/or maintain social media marketing campaigns
  • Work with marketing team to support the public relations action plan as needed
  • Manage marketing collateral and communications as needed
  • Provide support to Investment Sales in the development of proposals, presentations, and any other additional sales aids as needed
  • Coordinate direct marketing and other advertising sources, such as: print and online as needed
  • Manage or execute special projects, as assigned
  • Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Real Estate or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience required, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Experience in the commercial real estate sector is a definite asset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
  • May require on-call activity after regular office hours
  • Operate with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
