Firm Description

DHA Capital LLC is an Austin, TX-based real estate investment, development and advisory firm. Founded in 2009 in New York City, DHA focuses on the development of high-quality urban real estate projects principally in Austin.  The firm is currently developing a 1.4 MM sf mixed used tower in Downtown Austin.

Intern Responsibilities

Interns will be expected to commit to work full time during the Summer.

The intern may be located remotely. Interns will assist in:

•Analyzing potential acquisitions;

•Contacting brokers to obtain market information;

•Developing pro formas and budgets;

•Developing and monitoring project schedules;

•Assisting in project construction management;

•Documenting potential sites and surrounding neighborhoods;

•Preparing memos and presentation materials;

•Attending project meetings and preparing meeting minutes;

•Helping coordinate project team members, including design and construction professionals, attorneys, and sub-consultants;

•Reviewing master, site and/or architectural plans;

•Reviewing legal documents;

QUALIFICATIONS

Intern Qualifications

The ideal candidate should currently be enrolled in a master’s program or have some work experience in real estate, demonstrate strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills, and be able to work in a team-oriented environment. Candidates should have strong organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.

Education or experience in the disciplines of real estate development and / or real estate finance is required.

All candidates should have good real estate financial modeling skills. Candidates are expected to have excellent skills in standard computer software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
