About the opportunity:
The Position is based in San Francisco. The Asset Management team relies on data and operational insights to drive financially sound long-term decisions in the best interest for each asset. The Asset Management team utilizes internal and external data from several sources including Excel, RealPage and PowerBI.
The Position will be responsible for supporting Asset Managers on the Asset Management team in an effort to maximize the long-term cash flow growth of the Prime Residential portfolio.
The Position’s responsibilities related to the existing portfolio include:
- Analyze asset-level financial statements to observe successes and areas for improvement and provide recommendations to the Asset Management team.
- Track and compare financial performance related to asset-level budgets and underwritings and notify the proper team member of the variance.
- Assist Asset Managers in forecasting long-term cash flow for each asset.
- Analyze data regarding employment, infrastructure, government regulation, and supply within our investment markets.
The Position will from time to time represent Prime in the marketplace and network within the real estate community. This will include determining the appropriate contacts within other management companies and investment groups.
Desired Characteristics and Competencies:
- Self-starter – Ability to organize and manage projects independently.
- Team orientation – Success will require working collaboratively with the Prime Asset Management team.
- Growth mindset – Someone who is open to feedback and constantly seeking to improve.
- Ability to analyze – Finance or Real Estate background is a plus.
- Excel Knowledge – Experience in analyzing large datasets in Microsoft Excel.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience:
0-4 years of experience in Finance or Real Estate is preferred. Hands-on multifamily asset management experience is preferred although strong candidates with hands-on experience in other real estate sectors are encouraged to apply. Travel is expected to be about 10% of the Position’s time.
